What you'll do
- Use powder coating equipment to apply correct color of powder paint to parts that enter the paint booth.
- Change powder hoppers and in the process, ensure there is no cross contamination.
- Monitor to make sure paint flow is sufficient, making sure air feed and hopper fluid is properly set.
- Set-up and operate machines to paint/coat parts, observe machine gauges to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make necessary adjustments.
- Enforce quality standards and procedures, respond quickly to quality problems and comply with documentation requirements.
- Powder Coat Painter Qualifications:
- Must be able to understand, follow, and issue routine oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally move/lift up to 75 lbs.
- Previous powder painting experience a plus.
- Shift:
- Night shift runs from 5:30pm-6:00am Monday-Thursday, and hours will vary on Friday. $3.50 night shift differential.
- Depending on customer demand, additional overtime may be required.
