Operations Intern
Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site)
Type: Full-time Internship (6+ months)
About Engramme
Engramme is an AI research lab building Large Memory Models (LMMs) to give people perfect, infinite memory.
We're founded by Gabriel Kreiman, a former Harvard professor, and Spandan Madan, a former Harvard researcher. We're a small, ambitious team in San Francisco working on one of the most fundamental challenges in AI: memory.
We raised two rounds of funding and are expanding the team aggressively.
About the Role
We're looking for a resourceful, high-energy Operations Intern to work directly with our Chief of Staff across a wide range of business and operational initiatives.
As an early-stage AI research lab, we're constantly tackling new problems. One week you might be helping coordinate our recruiting pipeline; the next, researching potential partners, organizing an event, or improving an internal process.
This is a hands-on execution role. You'll be responsible for making sure things get done, whether that means coordinating people, researching solutions, managing logistics, or following up on the small details that keep the company running.
The ideal candidate is high energy, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
What You'll Do
Recruiting & Talent Operations: Support candidate sourcing, interview coordination, applicant tracking, and recruiting outreach across technical and non-technical roles.
Data Operations: Help coordinate research participants, manage onboarding workflows, track program participation, and support ongoing data collection initiatives.
Events & Community: Assist with organizing recruiting events, hackathons, university partnerships, and other community initiatives.
Business Operations: Research vendors, compare services, coordinate external partners, and help manage day-to-day operational needs.
Process Improvement: Identify repetitive manual tasks and build lightweight systems, automations, or workflows to make operations more efficient.
Special Projects: Take ownership of ad hoc projects, conduct research, organize information, and drive tasks to completion across different areas of the business.
Who We're Looking For
Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working independently and figuring things out with limited direction.
High energy and agentic; do not wait to be told every next step.
Willing to take on a wide range of tasks, including repetitive or administrative work when necessary.
Proficient with AI and technology and willingness to learn more.
Able to work in person at our San Francisco office 5 days a week and very likely more than 8 hours a day.
What You'll Get
Work directly with the Chief of Staff at an early-stage AI research lab.
Exposure to how a well-funded cutting-edge AI lab operates across recruiting, research, business operations, and company building.
Significant responsibility and the opportunity to own projects from start to finish.
A fast-paced, in-person environment with a small team of researchers, engineers, and operators.
We are looking for someone who can get things done and be hungry for more.
