Internship Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week. Paid.
Hours: Between 7:00 - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday (In-person SLC)
Duration: 12 months
Report To: Purchasing Supervisor
This requisition is being used to fill multiple internship opportunities
throughout 2027. A total of up to 11 intern positions may be hired across six
distinct internship disciplines. Each discipline offers unique learning
experiences and may require different educational backgrounds, technical skills,
and areas of interest. Candidates will be considered for opportunities that best
align with their qualifications and preferences.
Areas of expertise and focus: Supply Chain Management, Operations Management,
Logistics, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, Finance, Information
Systems, Data Science, Project Management, and Accounting, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on department and need. The
Intern receives assignments from supervising staff. The Manager reviews the
Intern's work occasionally. The supervisor reviews each assignment as it is
completed. The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work
in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full
attention to detail. Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required.
Sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol
are also expected.
Purchasing Data Analytics Intern
Support the Purchasing Systems team by helping develop Power BI reports,
dashboards, and Power Apps that provide meaningful business insights. This
internship offers hands-on experience working with data from multiple sources,
supporting data quality efforts, conducting analysis, and creating reporting
solutions that help drive informed business decisions. Interns will collaborate
with stakeholders, assist with data integration and validation, and contribute
to continuous improvement through data-driven recommendations.
Supply Chain & Purchasing Intern
Support purchasing and supply chain operations through data analysis, reporting,
project support, and process administration. Responsibilities may include
assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining contract documentation,
generating reports, supporting compliance efforts, and collaborating on
department initiatives. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention
to detail, professionalism, sound judgment, the ability to meet deadlines, and a
willingness to work both independently and collaboratively while supporting the
mission and values of the organization.
Printing Division Purchasing Intern
Gain hands-on experience in purchasing and supply chain operations within a
manufacturing environment. Interns will support purchase order management,
supplier communications, sourcing initiatives, and day-to-day supply chain
activities while learning how purchasing, planning, production, receiving, and
supplier relationships work together. The role provides exposure to ERP
purchasing systems, cross-functional projects, and real-world business processes
in a collaborative, mission-driven setting. Ideal candidates are organized,
dependable, eager to learn, and effective communicators.
Vendor Management Office Intern
Support the Church's Vendor Management Office by assisting with IT contract
administration and vendor-related projects. Interns will gain exposure to IT
procurement and contracting processes while developing skills in project
coordination, attention to detail, and stakeholder collaboration. This
internship provides valuable hands-on experience for students interested in
procurement, contracts, business, technology, or legal career paths. Successful
candidates are self-motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work
effectively both independently and as part of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for
one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement
Letter.
