What you'll do
- Provides direct care and management of patient population
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients
- Assists psycho-educational groups and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan
- Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context
- Records daily patient progress in the medical record and completes required paperwork
- Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from program
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or other related field
- Associate's degree and 2 years’ experience in provision of services to youth
- HS diploma and 5 years’ experience in the provision of services to youth
- Experience working with children 3-17
- Annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system
- Demonstrated abilities to work with a team and manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism
- Ability to accept supervision and guidance

32 Hours Paraprofessional
A Step Ahead Program in Bridgeton
$19-$21 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 10:30AM-3:30PM, then virtual IOP coverage from 4:30PM-6:30PM
Friday 11:30AM-3:30PM (No virtual IOP coverage)
MUST have bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or other related field BA in psychology, social work or related field OR associate's degree and 2 years’ experience in provision of services to youth OR HS diploma and 5 years’ experience in the provision of services to youth.
MUST have experience working with children 3-17.
Provides for the direct care and management of patient population of a partial care treatment center.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct care and management of patient population.
Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Assists psycho-educational groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan.
Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
Accurately records daily patient progress in the medical record as well as completing other required paperwork.
Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from program.
Annual certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system.
Qualifications:
BA in psychology, social work or related field OR associate's degree and 2 years’ experience in provision of services to youth OR HS diploma and 5 years’ experience in the provision of services to youth.
Must have demonstrated abilities to work with a team and to be able to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism.
Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
