We are currently seeking a motivated, initiative-taking, and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing Payroll team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic department responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll processing for 2,000+ employees across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities: As a Payroll Specialist, your duties will include, but are not limited to: Accurately process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 700 employees, ensuring compliance with union, internal policies and external regulations. Processing wage changes, including calculating retroactive pay adjustments as needed Calculate and process PTO payouts and final pay as needed. Perform routine audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Participate in payroll projects, including system enhancements, corporate department implementations, business acquisitions, and process improvements. Support benefit related payroll projects, withholdings, and reporting. Maintain payroll system data, accruals, and timekeeping records. Respond promptly to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll matters. Union Billing Reconciliations. Qualifications & Skills: To succeed in this role, you will need: Minimum 2–3 years of recent end to end payroll processing experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-location environment. Recent proficiency (within the last three years) with ADP Workforce Now is required. Experience with UKG Workforce Ready is a strong plus. Solid understanding of payroll principles, wage and hour laws, and tax regulations. Prior experience processing union payrolls and interpreting CBAs a plus. Elevated level of discretion and ability to manage sensitive, confidential information. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Experience with automation and AI is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data validation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-first attitude. Why Join Propark?
