Work Schedule: Primarily daylight, weekday hours with 8- and 12-hour shifts! Rotating weekend, overnight, and holiday coverage. Infrequent on-call hours, if needed. Responsibilities: Covers call and off-shifts on a rotational basis. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures to assist in a patient’s medical diagnosis. Displays knowledge of equipment operations, anatomy, and scanning techniques resulting in optimized image data/documentation. Documents and considers patient history, laboratory data, and physical findings. Ensures all exams are properly coded and networked through appropriate systems, and ensures all charges are correct for exams performed. Assists with training staff, student sonographers, and physicians. May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and/or equipment. Demonstrates ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect. Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required, or RDMS registered. RDMS registered or registry eligible. Must have completed Physics portion of registry. Must obtain RDMS in pediatric Ultrasound within 24 months of hire date. 2 years of ultrasound experience preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR or BLS within 30 days of hire.
