Description About Patient Care Infusion We're hiring an experienced Pharmacy Technician for our Tempe pharmacy — someone who wants their work to actually reach the patient, not just the shelf. Patient Care Infusion (PCI) is a locally owned, closed-door home infusion pharmacy and sister company to Arizona Home Care, which has served Valley patients for over 30 years. We don't have a retail counter or walk-in customers. Our front end works like a pharmacy call center: patients, caregivers, and nurses call us, and our techs make sure refills are processed, orders are right, and deliveries show up on time. What you'll do Handle a high volume of calls, emails, and faxes from patients, caregivers, nurses, and provider offices in a timely and professional manner Make outbound calls to check patients' supply levels and set up upcoming refills Receive and process prescription refill requests from patients and authorized representatives Enter new and refill prescription information into pharmacy systems accurately Initiate or accept verbal, electronic, or written refill authorizations per regulatory guidelines Coordinate medication refills and delivery schedules with patients, staff, and delivery personnel Collect patient payments and document them accurately Maintain complete and accurate patient profiles and records in compliance with Arizona Board of Pharmacy requirements and HIPAA Support coordination between pharmacy, nursing staff, and providers to ensure continuity of care Schedule details Full-time Monday–Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Occasional overtime as needed On-call rotation once fully trained (requires a 30-minute phone response time) What we offer $20–$25/hr based on experience and license level Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Pet insurance 401(k) 120 hours of PTO Paid holidays Free CEUs and ongoing training A desk, a headset, and a team that has your back — no retail counter, no drive-thru Requirements Required Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician License (or Technician Trainee License) At least 1 year of customer service experience, ideally phone-based Comfortable handling a steady stream of calls every day Strong typing and data entry skills, with close attention to detail Flexible and adaptable — you can roll with changing priorities Authorized to work in the United States Preferred Pharmacy call center, specialty, or mail-order pharmacy experience Home infusion or home health experience CareTend or other pharmacy management software Experience with insurance, prior authorizations, or refill authorizations Patient Care Infusion is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
