Welcome to SambaNova: Revolutionizing AI Capacity

SambaNova, co-founded by Rodrigo Liang (CEO), Kunle Olukotun (Chief Technologist), and Chris Re, empowers developers, enterprises, governments, and data centers to unlock their full AI potential. Founded in 2017 in Silicon Valley, our full-stack infrastructure, from chips to models, enables lightning-fast performance, low power consumption, and high-efficiency computing.

Our Mission We give every developer, enterprise, government and data center absolute sovereignty over their own data, models and AI infrastructure. SambaNova future-proofs the AI workloads that will power and scale the businesses of tomorrow.

The Speed That Matters is Payback SambaNova delivers premium inference. Anyone can be fast. The question is whether you make money doing it. Customers make more money by buying SambaNova chips.

SambaNova AI chips are unmatched — paying for themselves in 6 months or less. When a company purchases a rack, they’ll see payback in half a year. Not only does the rack draw less power because of how the chip is built, but it’s also air-cooled — and can be installed in a data center the customer already owns. This reduces time and data center buildout, while being energy-efficient and sustainable. The racks are flexible, plugging in from cell towers to a retrofitted CPU hall. SambaNova racks earn money in three ways: how fast tokens are made, what each token sells for, and how many customers it can serve at once.

Most organizations want to know, “How long will it take to get my investment back?” We’ve cut down the ROI timeline. Paybacks from other companies can take up to 24 months. We’re at six months on a machine that lasts 5 years — leaving most of its life as profit.

Our Tech We provide our customers the opportunity to experience SambaNova technology through the cloud or on-premise through full-stack AI platforms, AI racks, and AI chips with SambaCloud, SambaStack, SambaRack, and Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit.

SambaNova is a leader in next-generation AI infrastructure, delivering a full-stack inference platform for customers worldwide. At the core of SambaNova's technology is the RDU (Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit) — a chip built on a dataflow architecture rather than the traditional GPU model. Its decode performance is especially strong for agentic workloads like multi-turn agents, code generation, and long-running applications. RDUs are packaged into SambaRack, rack-scale hardware that lets customers deploy state-of-the-art models with better performance, greater energy efficiency, and faster time to value. About the Team The Post-Silicon Validation team brings up, debugs, and validates the high-speed IO and memory subsystems in SambaNova systems. We characterize and stress test silicon, root-cause issues across silicon, board, and software, and build our own debug tools and automation. About the Role As a new grad Post-Silicon Validation Engineer, you'll test new RDU silicon in the lab. You'll run characterization and stress tests on interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, and HBM, write Python scripts to automate testing and analyze results, and help debug issues with the design, firmware, and system teams. Responsibilities Run functional, characterization, stress, and performance tests on high-speed IO and memory subsystems Write scripts to automate validation, debug, and data analysis Help debug issues across silicon, board, and software with design, firmware, and system teams Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers to diagnose failures Support bring-up of new silicon and systems Feed findings back to pre-silicon verification to improve coverage Required Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Coursework or project experience in digital design, computer architecture, or high-speed interfaces Scripting experience in Python or bash Strong analytical and data analysis skills Preferred Qualifications M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Familiarity with PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, CXL, or UCIe Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, or BERTs Familiarity with SerDes concepts Ability to read and debug C/C++ Internship experience in validation, bring-up, or hardware test Base Salary Range: Base Pay Range $120,000—$150,000 USD Submission Guidelines Please note that in order to be considered an applicant for any position at SambaNova Systems, you must submit an application form for each position for which you believe you are qualified.
