Requirements We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Recreation Specialist to join our team. As a Recreation Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing recreational programs and activities that enhance the well-being and quality of life for our community members. The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic, and committed to promoting a positive and inclusive environment. Responsibilities: Program Development: Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational programs for diverse age groups. Develop engaging and innovative activities that align with the interests and needs of the community. Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with community members and stakeholders. Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to enhance program offerings. Event Coordination: Coordinate and oversee special events, tournaments, and recreational outings. Manage logistics, including scheduling, permits, and equipment. Inclusivity and Accessibility: Ensure programs are inclusive and accessible to individuals of all abilities. Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of the community. Evaluation and Reporting: Collect and analyze data on program participation and effectiveness. Prepare regular reports for management, identifying areas for improvement and success stories. Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in Physical Education/Recreation, or a related field. Red Cross certified in first aid and CPR (both must remain current). Knowledge of rules and regulations covering a variety of recreational sports. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and risk management practices in recreational settings. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive Pay, PTO, Health Benefits This position pays a base hourly rate of $26.72 per hour , plus an additional Health & Welfare (H&W) benefit, in accordance with the applicable Service Contract Act (SCA) requirements.
