What you'll do

Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia
Evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care
Assess for pain
Maintain hemodynamic and neurological stability
Maintain a patent airway

What you need

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active RN license in the state of Missouri
Obtain BLS within 90 days
Obtain PALS within one year of hire
Obtain ACLS within one year of hire
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Previous nursing experience (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (preferred)

The nurse evaluates plans, implements, and documents nursing care, assessment for pain, maintains hemodynamic and neurological stability, and maintains a patent airway. Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. Education ▪ Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program ▪ Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing ◦ Experience ▪ Preferred: Previous nursing experience ◦ Skills ▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills ▪ Demonstrate effective leadership abilities ▪ Exhibits valuable time management skills ▪ Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills. ▪ Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment. ◦ Licensure/Certification/Registration ▪ Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri ▪ Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days ▪ Required: Must obtain PALS within one year of hire ▪ Required: Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire
