What you'll do

2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED)

What you need

One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience
BSN from an accredited school of nursing
If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire
ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days
2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED) (preferred)
Some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements
Education: a bachelor's degree or an associate degree

Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova’s Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is a Part Time (2x12 hour shifts) to cover hours from 10.00am-11. 30pm with some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements. The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.
