What you'll do
- Partner with bedside nurses
- Provide admission support
- Provide patient and family education
- Support discharge readiness
- Provide discharge teaching
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or other degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- 9 months of professional nursing experience
- 2yrs of nursing experience
- Acute Care experience and ability to cross-train to cover NICU and Mother/ Baby
- Proficiency with EPIC (or comparable electronic health record systems)
- Ability to conduct virtual patient intakes and provide patient education via phone or digital platforms
- Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient/family education skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Comfortable with technology and virtual care delivery
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Adaptable and innovative, with the ability to navigate changing workflows
- Commitment to patient- and family-centered care
