Pay Rate Job Description As a Security Officer - Afternoon Shift in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors and employees, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help maintain a professional presence. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Screen personnel, visitors, packages, deliveries, and/or equipment entering the location in accordance with established procedures, documenting and escalating irregularities to site leadership. Operate screening equipment and monitor access points while maintaining a professional, calm, and problem-solving demeanor. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
