Iron Mountain is seeking a hands-on Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Project Specialist) to join our Records Project team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in moving and protecting important historical government records. Working as part of a team, you'll make sure every box is tracked, packed, and safely transported according to strict security guidelines. This position is a temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a regular role based on business need and performance. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will: Move and Stage Records: Safely pull, move, and stack record boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, including working off elevated platforms up to 15 feet high. Label and Track: Put barcode and RFID labels on boxes in exact locations so every file can be tracked electronically. Pack and Secure Pallets: Arrange boxes on pallets in proper order, protect the corners, and wrap them tightly in plastic for safe shipping. Check Inventory: Help check box numbers against pull lists to make sure everything matches before it is moved. Use Material Handling Gear: Safely move boxes around the warehouse using hand trucks, wheeled carts, and pallet jacks. What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have: Experience working in a physical role, preferably in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately match long numbers and letters on labels and lists. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout an 8-hour shift, and comfort working at heights using secure platforms or mobile lifts. US citizenship required due to federal security rules. Must be willing and able to undergo fingerprinting and pass a federal background check. What We Offer (Benefits) Salary details: Starting at 22.95hr Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Onsite location: 7358 South Pulaski, Chicago, IL. 60629 Eligible for SCA Pay of up to an additional $5.09/hr (if benefits are declined) ​Competitive compensation aligned with your experience. 14 paid days off (7 paid holidays plus 2 weeks paid vacation) plus sick pay.
