Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Product Manager with receiving and inventory of steel products, including but not limited to: coil, plates, sheets, bars, and tubes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of receiving activities in purchasing system/ERP.
Work with the logistics department to coordinate the shipment of goods and ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Collaborate with our team to achieve maximum efficiency for all groups within the organization.
Work with the Driver Supervisor to ensure all trucks and trailers are in proper working condition and meet DOT compliance.
Perform clerical tasks, data entry, answer phone calls, and respond and resolve issues that come up.
Assist local team with inventory spot checks and cycle counts.
Regularly check production equipment schedules and communicate with production team if there are changes and/or additions they may not be aware of.
