THE JOB: As a Special Events Specialist, you will help bring memorable experiences to life by coordinating exciting events and special experiences for our guests. You will collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and event partners to support event planning, logistics, and execution while bringing your creativity to the development of promotional materials and event presentations. THE STARTING RATE: $20 THE DAY-TO-DAY: Assist with planning and executing property casino events, to include creating and developing event concepts and themes, managing creative process for Special Event invitations and collateral, and ensuring consistent best practices are applied Create engaging event invitations, promotional materials, signage, and presentations using Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, or similar creative tools Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and event partners to coordinate event requirements, setup, and execution Coordinate pre-production, production and post-event activities under the direction of the Special Events Manager including overseeing installation, placement, and removal of event related items such as signage, and décor Communicate with vendors to coordinate entertainment such as models, emcees, bands, and DJs, talent fees, contracts, bids, photography, gifts, décor, linen, staff uniforms, and transportation Provide feedback and traffic event marketing efforts in a timely manner between the Casino Marketing teams, property Special Events teams, and brand marketing and creative services Support and implement enterprise-wide standards based on the approved efficiencies of the Events Center of Excellence Maintain and update the marketing portal with event details including criteria, schedule of events, prize structure and earning criteria Provide on-site event support, troubleshoot unexpected challenges, and help ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 2+ years of prior relevant experience in guest experience or event planning required THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking on and off shift Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION: https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=10569 Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW ?
