Specialized Direct Support Professional Floater

Upper Valley Services (UVS) is one of Vermont’s designated non-profit agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilities and adults who are eligible for Adult Family Care. UVS is seeking a kind, positive and patient and experienced Specialized DSP. The Floater position is designed to work with multiple individuals with varying needs and levels of support. Employment support Community support Personal care Communication support Working within a tight-knit support team that has built-in resources and expertise Extensive training/ shadowing opportunities will be offered for all areas of the role Looking for: Physically able to lift and carry 50lbs. Commitment to the role of communication partner, requires engagement with adaptive technology High capacity for self-regulation Flexibility and Adaptability Strong organizational skills and documentation Strong communication and teamwork skills Candidates will undergo a background check, must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance.
