Job title - Student Intern, Electrical Location - Muscatine Job type - Onsite Requisition ID - 11329 Stanley Consultants is looking for an Electrical Student Intern for our Muscatine, IA office. What You Will Be Doing: Student will develop an understanding of electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems related to for a variety of building and site infrastructure projects. Responsibilities and skills to be developed include: Understanding engineering drawings and specifications, performing and checking engineering calculations, coordinating information with vendors, performing field site visits, back checking drawings, gaining familiarity with computer software, and general clerk duties. You may be responsible for specific design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Design tasks may include electrical system modeling, lighting and power calculations, electrical lighting and power plans, panelboard and equipment schedules, equipment wiring drawings and schematics, or similar. You will be responsible for working independently on assigned tasks and seeking out experienced engineers for answering questions. \n Required Qualifications: Enrolled in BSEE Degree Program at an ABET accredited University Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering GPA 3.0 or higher Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Local to the Iowa area Must be able to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without requiring sponsorship. \n Learn more about Stanley Consultants in this short video: Working at Stanley Consultants Stanley Consultants does not welcome unsolicited resumes from staffing and recruiting agencies.
