We are seeking compassionate, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Surgical Medical Assistant, you will assist with in-office procedures and provide critical support in the Operating Room (OR) during egg retrievals and other outpatient procedures. You'll also educate patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional care at every step of their path to parenthood. We are seeking a Surgical Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility - Michigan in Grand Rapids, MI . This is a full-time, onsite role working Monday-Friday, can float between the surgery center and clinic as needed. Key Responsibilities Greet and check-in patients, verify medical history, and update patient information. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. May assist with in-office procedures and provide critical support during egg retrievals and other outpatient procedures. Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections. May prepare, maintain, and assist within the Operating Room (OR), ensuring sterile technique, proper equipment setup, and smooth clinical flow. Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are properly stocked and available. Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic medical records (EMR). Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals. Educate patients on treatment plans, medication protocols, and preventive care measures. Ensure a safe and organized environment by adhering to infection control and safety standards. Assist with inventory management and clinical supply ordering. Respond to patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Position Requirements Education & Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred but not required. Maintain current BLS/CPR certification required. Experience & Skills: Strong phlebotomy skills preferred. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Flexibility: Willingness to cover weekends, holidays, and work at various locations as needed. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
