PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Coordinator, Volunteer at Catholic Charities: Implements program objectives and performance standards as directed by supervisor/ management to support our mission. Follows budget as set by manager. Provides input into process. Maintains accurate and timely program statistical data to meet reporting requirements. Enters data and generates reports, including a monthly department report showing volunteer service hours. Ensures accurate and complete volunteer records are maintained. Completes necessary administrative duties (paperwork, etc.) timely and accurately. Recruits, screens, interviews and places volunteers. Determines appropriate assignments for volunteers based on interests, skill set and departmental needs. Promotes volunteerism through talks, tours and relationships with churches, businesses and academic institutions. Implements Catholic Charities’ formal volunteer recruitment and training program. Assists staff with working with, evaluating and supporting volunteers and community service workers. Maintains professional ties with other service organizations/boards/committees for the benefit of the program. Maintains appropriate level of contact with volunteers to support them in their efforts. In collaboration with appropriate internal personnel, develops and implements volunteer recognition and retention events and activities. Manages group volunteering by providing meaningful work and items needed to do their works, provides a tour of the facility and is on hand to oversee/support the group as needed. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Proficient in computer skills, including the use of essential software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases for data entry, report generation, and the creation of communications and presentations. Demonstrated expertise in proactively planning and organizing events, showcasing a strong ability to adapt, interpret, and apply written guidelines, precedents, and standardized work practices to a variety of unprecedented or challenging situations. Prior experience in delivering structured, in-person training is highly preferred, emphasizing a commitment to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. Capable of delivering content in an enthusiastic, engaging, and easily understandable manner, ensuring effective communication and knowledge transfer. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently make presentations in front of groups. Maintains organizational excellence, demonstrating attention to detail and thoroughness in recordkeeping and documentation requirements. Acquires knowledge of trauma-informed techniques and practices suitable for the client population, demonstrating a compassionate and understanding approach. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration as a team member and independently interacting with Agency staff and a diverse client base. Adaptable to a flexible and changing schedule, showcasing a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the organization and its stakeholders. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field preferred. One to two years of related Human Services/Marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $21.00-$23.00/hour Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more. Sabbatical Leave Program: Employees who have completed seven years of continuous full-time service are eligible for a paid sabbatical leave to support rest, renewal, and professional or personal growth. Eligible staff may take 4 weeks of sabbatical leave. Choice of 3 PPO Medical Plans (90% of employee's and 75% of dependent’s premiums is paid by Agency), Dental, & Vision starting the 1st day of the month following start date. May be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through Federal Student Loans and many more benefits. **Part-time employees (20-29 hours per week) also receive paid annual leave, company paid holidays, and 403b retirement plan with agency contribution and match.
