Welder / Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs a variety of duties in support of the operation of Phoenix Global. The job consists of providing maintenance services and related equipment to the Phoenix fleet. Responsible for following the policies and procedures of Phoenix Global and its customers. · The Welder/Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic performs functions of welding, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction and yellow mobile equipment as well as pots for carriers.. Position Title: Welder Mechanic Primary Responsibilities: Performs a variety of duties in support of the operation of Phoenix Global. The job consists of providing maintenance services to the Phoenix fleet and related equipment. Responsible for acting in accordance with the policies and procedures of Phoenix Global and its customers. Assembles, dissembles, and repairs mobile equipment and their system’s components. Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance. Compliance with all Phoenix Safety Policies & Procedures, including wearing specific Personal Protective Equipment required for various job functions. Compliance with all Phoenix Standard Operating Procedures Attendance at Mandatory monthly Safety Meetings Housekeeping and safe handling of materials and equipment must always be exercised. Exercise and implement proper lifting and carrying techniques when moving packaging materials. Performing quality control and quality assurance Performing general and preventative maintenance on Transportation units (e.g., excavators, loaders, transport vehicles, etc.) into service. Handling components, modules, and systems of Transportation units Documentation of all completed work Tracking of all parts and lubricants consumed. Qualifications: · Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs. · Mechanical aptitude · Knowledge of heavy equipment · Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, electrical systems, drivelines, steering mechanisms, and suspensions. · Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, or crawl under or on top of equipment. · Ability to manipulate components in hard-to-reach places with hands or tools. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
