AMT Intern

Shift: 6:30 AM-7:00 PM Hourly Rate: $19.25 an hour Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (AMT) is a highly trained individual with special skillsets that work in manufacturing environments. A multi-skilled maintenance technician has a broad foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of electrical and electronic circuits, robotics, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, motor controls and hydraulics/pneumatics equipment Schedule : 1st shift, 6:30am - 7:00pm. NOTE: This is a part-time position working only Monday & Wednesday, while attending school. A Taste of Your Responsibilities: Work in the Plant Services department Job shadow other Industrial Maintenance Techs Under direct supervision by another Tech, provide hands support and work with industrial machinery Attend meetings and calls as needed Follow GMP's (food safety) & location safety standards Other duties assigned by a tech or manager/supervisor Ingredients Required for Your Success: High School Diploma required Currently enrolled in an AMT program Effective communication skills as measured through the submission of a written essay Commitment to work in a team and problem-solving environment Physical Requirements: Depending on the role, physical and environmental requirements may vary but can include: Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time. Performing consistent repetitive tasks. Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials. Also be aware that in a manufacturing environment, the noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.
