CAD Drafter

CAD Drafter Location: 325 Arbor Court, Winchester, VA 22602 Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00/hour Dixon Fire , a proud division of The Dixon Group , is seeking a CAD Drafter to join our engineering team at our facility in Winchester, Virginia ! In this role, you will apply mechanical engineering principles to design couplings, connections, valves, machines and their components. You will work closely with engineering and production to update models and drawings based on requested changes. What You'll Do: Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks. Collaborate and communicate directly with engineers and production staff. Create assemblies and ensure the mechanical fit of all components. Coordinate the proper creation of item types, manufacturability requirements, and bills of materials. Self-check completed assignments and cross-check coworkers' completed assignments. Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to ensure product manufacturability. Select materials and calculate weights and volumes. Generate new designs from concept to completion while considering manufacturability and cost. Support standard products and perform special customer project work.
