Description

EVENING CAREGIVER, 1-9PM, AHWATUKEE FOOTHILLS (HOMEWORK/STUDY-FRIENDLY) Looking for a warm, confident caregiver for a fixed 1-9pm evening shift in a quiet, beautiful private home at the base of South Mountain. Expect real downtime during your shift, and a kind, appreciative family who are grateful for the people who care for their dad. You will also be joining an agency that invests in its caregivers with ongoing training and real support. Application Note: This role is tied to a specific client and an immediate start. We are seeking a friendly, confident caregiver to provide safety-focused companionship for a senior male client living in the Ahwatukee Foothills. If hired, you may be eligible for additional client assignments based on your experience and availability, but please only apply to this job posting if you match this specific client's needs. If this isn't the right match, we'd love for you to check out our other open positions. Schedule: Coverage is needed 1-9pm, 7 days a week (56 hours per week). This case will be staffed by two caregivers who split the week, so we are looking for someone who can commit to a consistent schedule, with 4 to 5 days per week preferred. We are flexible on which days, and we will work with your availability to build the right pairing. Our most immediate need is weekend and early-week coverage. Overtime is available on a temporary basis, paid at time and a half (1.5x), for the right person who can start right away and take on extra hours while we build out the team. Once the schedule is filled, the role will settle into a consistent set schedule. Weekend shifts also earn weekend differential pay. Client Care Needs: The client is returning home after a recent health event and is a high fall risk. He is largely independent, and there is no cognitive decline. Your focus is safety: staying close, staying observant, and being ready to step in. Hands-on support will be needed as appropriate, especially during the transition home, but it is not extensive. There is no housekeeping in this role, as the family has housekeeping services in place. He enjoys his private home office, so expect a good amount of downtime during shifts. The family is happy for you to read, study, or work on homework between safety checks, which makes this a great fit for a student. More Than Basic Care: This client is sharp, accomplished, and values his independence and privacy. He may take a little time to warm up to having care in the home, and the right caregiver will earn his trust by being friendly and low-key. We are not looking for someone who simply fills a shift. We are looking for someone with a warm, upbeat personality who can read the room, give him space when he needs it, and stay nearby to keep him safe. Experience and confidence matter here, and the family is looking for someone polished, discreet, and comfortable in a private home. About The Next Chapter Senior Care Solutions: We are a local, family-owned concierge home care agency built on a simple belief: caregivers and clients both deserve better than the revolving door of shift-filling that defines most of the industry. We specialize in dedicated, longer-term client assignments, with most of our cases being full-time, because continuity matters. For clients, it means consistent, trusted support. For caregivers, it means consistent communication, real relationships, and work that actually feels meaningful. We take matching seriously. You won't be sent somewhere you're not the right fit, and we won't place a client with someone who isn't ready for their specific needs. That kind of intentionality is rare in this industry, and it's what we're building. Why Caregivers Choose The Next Chapter: Pay matters, and we take it seriously. But it is not the only reason our caregivers stay. We hold our team to high standards because our clients deserve them, and we support our team at that same level. You will not be left to figure things out on your own. * Ongoing training: We keep investing in your skills, not just at hire but throughout your time with us. * Real support: Our leadership team is behind you when questions or challenges come up, so you never feel alone on a shift. * Respect for our caregivers: You are treated as the skilled professional you are, with fair pay, clear and honest communication, and a team that values your time. * Room to grow: Strong performers are considered for additional cases and leadership opportunities as we grow. Other Opportunities: Beyond this role, we support a range of client needs, including companionship, daily living assistance, dementia and memory support, and higher-acuity care. This posting is for safety-focused companionship only. Qualified candidates may be considered for additional client assignments based on experience and availability. Requirements: * Screening: Successful completion of a thorough criminal background check, drug screening, DMV record check, and a negative TB test prior to employment. * Certifications: Valid CPR certification. A CNA program or Caregiving Certification is highly preferred. If you don't have one yet, no problem: we provide caregiver certification the same day we extend a contingent offer, completed within 8 hours and before your first client assignment. * References: At least two positive references from past employment that demonstrate your professionalism and commitment. * Experience: Previous caregiving experience is required (we will consider non-traditional experience with opportunity for additional training). Compensation & Benefits: * Competitive Pay: $20 to $25 per hour, based on experience and certifications, with opportunity for quick advancement. * W2 Employment: Enjoy the benefits of W2 employment status, including tax benefits and eligibility for applicable protections including overtime pay (1.5x base). * Paid Travel Time: Paid travel time between consecutive client assignments. * Incentives & Differentials: Quarterly attendance incentives, weekend differential pay, and shift differentials for select shifts. * Career Advancement: Plentiful opportunities to advance into leadership roles as our business continues to grow. How to Apply: If this opportunity matches your availability and experience, we encourage you to apply. Please review the schedule and care needs above before submitting, since this posting is tied to a specific client and we are actively screening for fit. Use the Apply button on this posting to submit your application. Join a team that values your growth and is committed to making every chapter of life meaningful and fulfilling.
