We're looking for an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our Carson City team as an entry-level engineer supporting planning, design, and plan production for site development and infrastructure projects — grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater systems. You'll work under close supervision on structured, supervised assignments, building foundational civil engineering knowledge and Moffatt & Nichol project workflows. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to learn the fundamentals and grow into more independent design work. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required * 0–2 years of experience; * EIT/FE exam passage preferred and encouraged * Basic understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site layout * Exposure to AutoCAD; learning MicroStation or Civil 3D. * Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and maps * Beginning understanding of soil composition, terrain analysis, and hydrological data; learning MN quality and documentation standards. * All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 * Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire Physical Requirements: Majority of work is office based.
