This internship provides hands-on experience within the Corporate Accounting team, supporting key financial processes including month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The intern will develop a strong understanding of corporate accounting practices, internal controls, and financial systems while collaborating with team members to deliver accurate and meaningful financial support. Potential Projects: Assist in the preparation and completion of balance sheet reconciliations, including supporting schedules and documentation. Support month-end close activities through journal entry analysis, preparation, and validation. Contribute to the documentation, evaluation, and enhancement of accounting processes and internal control procedures. Perform data validation, reporting, and process automation support utilizing Excel and other financial tools and systems. Lead a designated summer project, culminating in a presentation of findings, insights, and recommendations to the Corporate Accounting team. What We Are Looking For Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Entry Level. Developing professional knowledge in the area of expertise. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Clear written and verbal communication. Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Curiosity and willingness to learn. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Exposure to SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Experience with data analysis, reporting, or process automation. Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and internal controls. Previous internship, office, finance, or accounting-related experience. What We Offer Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $19.80 - $22.00 /hour . This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
