Facilities Maintenance Worker CL1 (Third Shift)

The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking a full-time, regular, Facilities Maintenance Worker- CL1 (Custodian) to begin immediately. This is a third shift (overnight) position. Work Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 pm- 6:30 am (third shift). Wages: $18.33 per hour plus $0.80 shift differential, or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee within the Service & Maintenance collective bargaining agreement. This position is designated as an essential position requiring the individual to be able to work during periods of inclement weather and/or campus emergencies. What you will do: Use cleaning equipment (such as vacuums and floor machines) and cleaning products safely. Lift and carry items that are sometimes heavy, such as trash, furniture, and equipment. Shovel snow from building entrances and walkways. Pick up trash and debris near the outside of buildings. Clean restrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and other spaces in and around campus buildings. Work on your own or as part of a team. Occasionally climb ladders up to 12 feet.
