Description

Clean Harbors is looking for a Hazardous Materials Technician (InSite Technician) to join their safety conscious team. This person would be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with collecting, segregating, packing, and preparing for shipment of hazardous waste in accordance with our company policies and procedures at our client locations.   Work Schedule:  05:00am - 02:00pm    Why work for Clean Harbors?  * Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5! * Competitive Starting Pay: $26.00 hourly DOE * Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment * Group 401K with company matching component * Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement * Positive and safe work environments * Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career  RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; * Prepares computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications; * Performs inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance; * Inspects storage area for leaks or spills; * Inspects drums for compliance with labeling regulations; * Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance; * Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing; * Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds; * Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork. * Other duties as assigned.
