Job Profile Summary: Provides routine administrative support to a department or group of professionals in support of department goals. Job Description: Hourly Range: $21.20 - $26.49 per hour; DOE Job Description ASU Knowledge Enterprise is seeking a focused and responsible Management Intern to provide assistance to the Contracting Services (CS) team. CS supports faculty and staff from various colleges, schools, and departments in their efforts to apply for grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. CS specifically plays a role in Research Operations by preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and monitoring complex and non-complex contracts for research-related projects to ensure compliance with university, sponsor, ABOR, federal, state, and local laws and regulations. In this role, under general supervision of the CS staff, the management intern will work on a variety of tasks and projects to support the Contracting team from responding to inquiries and requests from staff and external parties including providing guidance as to processes to preparing agreements based upon standard ASU templates. This position requires the ability to be organized. This would be an ideal position for a law student or a student interested in a law career. Essential Duties Duties are technical and/or complex and involve a significant degree of responsibility and judgment. Under the general direction of CS staff, may prepare, draft, and monitor complex or non-complex Agreements, including Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Material Transfer Agreements (MTA), and possibly some Services and Sponsored Research agreements. Using written job aids and guidance, will complete a variety of daily/weekly/monthly tasks With the assistance of staff, will assist with triaging agreement tasks. Work and communicate with, and provide administrative and technical assistance to, ASU departments and Sponsors related to the ASU Contracts process. Prepare pre-drafted correspondence and documents as needed. Some data entry type tasks within Excel, Word, or ASU’s Enterprise Research Administration (ERA) system Perform other duties as assigned in furtherance of the ASU and Contracting Services mission.
