What you'll do
- Manage patient intakes, collect specimens, record vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and sterilize equipment.
- Assist physicians during visits, perform EKGs and point-of-care testing, and support data entry.
What you need
- Requires a Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
- Requires knowledge of standard precautions and ability to use appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Education: a high school diploma or a professional certificate
