Columbus Specialty Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide optimal care for our long-term acute care patients to help them improve their daily living activities. Our Occupational Therapists are there to help them 8 hours a day Monday-Friday. Occupational Therapists (OTs) earn a competitive wage of $43-$45/hour based on experience. POSITION SUMMARY The Occupational Therapist (OT) evaluates and treats functional limitations in all activities of daily living which include eating, hygiene, dressing, functional mobility, health management and writing. The Occupational Therapist provides supervision of treatment delivered by the Occupational Therapist Assistants and Occupational Therapist Assistant Students. This position involves direct patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older and requires age-specific experience, specialized training, and/or expertise to serve this population. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy (Master's degree preferred) Current NJ state occupational therapy license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association 2+ years of occupational therapy experience in a hospital setting preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills?
