The Paraplanner plays a vital role in supporting our agency’s sales managers and financial advisors by providing dedicated case design, policy research, and financial plan construction. This position serves as the technical engine of the firm, learning and utilizing tools like Retirement Analyzer to turn complex client financial data into clear, actionable risk management and retirement solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn financial planning concepts, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Case Design & Technical Plan Construction
Partner directly with sales managers and advisors on case design, running policy illustrations, product comparisons, and retirement cash-flow projections.
Build comprehensive financial and retirement analysis models using tools such as Retirement Analyzer (training provided).
Gather and audit client financial data, tax documents, and existing policy portfolios to identify product gap analyses across life, disability, long-term care, and annuities.
Draft client presentation materials, coverage summaries, and tailored recommendation decks.
Advisor & Meeting Support
Assemble complete case packets, policy review summaries, and proposed agendas prior to advisor consultations.
Attend client case review meetings alongside Lead Advisors/Managers as needed to log technical notes, capture specific planning goals, and track follow-up items.
Prepare post-meeting action summaries and guide clients through onboarding or plan implementation steps (e.g., account transfers, beneficiary updates, policy deliveries).
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
Licensing: Active state Life & Health Insurance license is a plus, but not required (firm will support obtaining licensing if needed).
Technical Aptitude:
Strong proficiency in Google Workspace/Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with or quick ability to learn financial planning software (e.g., Retirement Analyzer, eMoney) and CRMs (e.g., Redtail, Salesforce).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
High ethical standards, integrity, and respect for client confidentiality.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on background and skills.
