QC Apprentice – Rossmönster
Longmont, CO · Full-time, on-site · $24-$29/hour
Every Rossmönster vehicle has to look, drive, and sound like a premium product before it reaches the customer. As our QC Apprentice, you'll help make sure it does.
About half your time is spent driving finished vehicles on road tests, hunting down squeaks and rattles, alignment pulls, wheel balance issues, and anything else a customer would notice. The rest of your time is in the shop: inspecting builds, documenting findings on the QC checklist, and following each issue until it's fixed.
This is an entry-level role with hands-on training and a real path into quality, service, or production. If you have a sharp eye, a sharp ear, and a love of vehicles, we want to hear from you.
About Rossmönster
Rossmönster started in 2010 as a custom woodworking shop and has grown into a builder of premium adventure vans and overland trucks, including the Havn, Skye, and Baja lines. Our team of woodworkers, engineers, electricians, and outdoor enthusiasts builds from a 45,000-square-foot facility in Longmont, Colorado. Our customers expect their vehicles to be quiet, solid, and ready for anything, and our QC team makes sure they are.
What You'll Do
Road test every finished vehicle (about 50% of your time). Take each build on a 50-mile drive test, listening and feeling for squeaks and rattles and checking for alignment pulls, wheel balance vibration, tire rub, and dash warning lights.
Track down the noise. When something rattles, find exactly where it's coming from (a drawer, a cabinet, a roof rack, a ladder) so our techs can fix it the first time.
Inspect in the shop. Work through our QC checklist on suspension, undercarriage, wiring, accessories, and camper systems, and confirm every build matches what the customer ordered.
Document everything. Record pass/fail results, take final build photos, and track punch-list items until they're closed.
Close the loop. Re-drive vehicles after repairs to confirm the fix, and flag recurring issues so production can fix them upstream.
What You Bring
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (must meet our insurance requirements)
Confidence driving large vans and trucks, including long-wheelbase and lifted vehicles
A detail-oriented mindset: you notice the small things others miss and won't sign off until it's right

Reliability, and the ability to work independently on the road
Comfort getting in, under, and on top of vehicles, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Nice to Have
Automotive, RV, or mechanical experience or coursework
A basic understanding of suspension, steering, and tires
Familiarity with 12V electrical or plumbing systems
Experience with F350, Sprinter or Transit vehicles
A love of the outdoors, vans, or overlanding
