Security Officer at Kadlec Regional Medical Center
The Security Officer II receives general direction from the Security Manager,
Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a full performance level technical
security protective duty to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians,
property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and
illegal entry. Enforces Kadlec, facility and security policies and regulations.
Investigates reports of potential criminal conduct against Kadlec staff,
visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients;
detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and
provides protective services to high-risk areas. May be required to support any
Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local
service area.

Shift Details:
* Full time, Day Shift, 40 working hours weekly
Required Qualifications:
* Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are
required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving.
Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto
insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
* 6 months of experience working within the Kadlec Security department.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate's degree in criminal justice, History, or English.
* 2 years of Law Enforcement/Security/Military/Corrections experience, or
related work experience in a healthcare setting, or relevant college
coursework deemed important to the job.
* Experience in healthcare setting.

position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this
position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other
applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional
compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials,
standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus
opportunities.
