JOB DETAILS: Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term Duration: Summer Internship: Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027 Quarter Students: June 21, 2027 - September 10, 2027 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: We are seeking highly motivated AI Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role, you will – Support the development of AI-assisted workflows for engineering and compute optimization tasks. Assist in building and evaluating systems that generate, test, benchmark, and measure candidate improvements. Contribute to tools that connect AI models with compilers, profilers, benchmarking tools, and engineering workflows. Support evaluation and validation efforts focused on correctness, performance, and reliability. Assist with analyzing experimental results and identifying opportunities to improve AI models and optimization approaches. Collaborate with researchers and engineers on AI-assisted software and hardware optimization projects. Support experiment tracking, benchmarking, and reproducibility across AI engineering projects. Document technical work, experimental results, and key learnings. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Programming experience in Python. Coursework or hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, or computer systems. Familiarity with PyTorch or similar machine learning frameworks. Interest in AI agents, optimization, LLMs, or AI-assisted software development. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
