Summer Intern, Digital Manufacturing – Colorado Springs, CO Summer Intern, Digital Manufacturing The Digital Manufacturing Intern is responsible for the development and support of software solutions that drive our digital manufacturing initiatives and shop floor modernization. As a Digital Manufacturing Intern, you will work closely with senior engineers, business stakeholders, and plant operations to deliver software enhancements for our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), build analytics dashboards, and streamline data flows across enterprise systems. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. What You Will Do: Develop and test new application features, components, and bug fixes using C# and .NET. Create, edit, and optimize Power BI reports and data models to enhance visibility and enable data-driven decision-making for plant managers and machine operators. Partner directly with manufacturing end-users to refine functional requirements, support user acceptance testing, and set up/configure digital screens on the shop floor. Write and optimize SQL queries to manipulate, validate, and retrieve data from relational database systems. Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and adhere to quality coding standards and code review practices. What You Need to Succeed: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated coursework or project experience in an object-oriented programming (OOP) language (knowledge of C# / .NET preferred; Java or C++ acceptable with aptitude to learn C#). Fundamental understanding of relational databases and hands-on experience writing SQL queries (data definition and data manipulation). Strong technical curiosity and ability to quickly learn new business domains and digital manufacturing tools. GPA of 3.0 or higher. Why Work for Us? Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. · The expected Base Hourly Range: $25-$26/hour.
