TN- FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Apply Job Type Full-time Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide customer technical service and support to include installation/start-up (mechanical and electrical) PLC software modification on system controls Customer training and troubleshooting Up to 85% Travel Foreign and Domestic Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls in a machinery environment. Mechanical and electrical technical skills to troubleshoot, design and solve machine malfunctions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently required to stand. Frequently required to walk. Occasionally required to sit. Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Occasionally required to talk or hear. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather) While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
