What you'll do
- Confirm manufacturing tool and facility readiness
- Manage implementation of quality improvement items
- Drive R/1000 reduction through VRT leadership
- Provide VME support for minor programs/running changes
- Drive error-proofing initiatives across the plant
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field); equivalent experience considered (5+ years)
- Prior experience in Body Shop manufacturing, launch, or quality engineering within an automotive assembly environment
- Working knowledge of body construction processes, tooling, metrology systems (e.g., Eines), and error-proofing methods
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, root cause/corrective action, 8D, VRT processes)
- Familiarity with plant quality systems and metrics (QLS, FCPA, R/1000, CPU)
- Experience supporting vehicle launches, running changes, or capacity/added starter programs preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret warranty and build data
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills (plant, engineering, supplier, and quality teams)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, launch-driven environment
- Proficiency with standard manufacturing/quality software tools (e.g., data analysis, reporting platforms)

Mfg Program Engineer - LAP EV Launch (BCE)
