How You'll Contribute A Certified Medical Assistant who excels in this role: * Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). * Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff. * Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation. * Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings. * Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment. * Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow. * Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput. * Documents patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards. * Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities. * Performs other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Education * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Licensure * National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant Required. Advanced diagnostic imaging services include MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and X-ray. The hospital's 13-bay Emergency Department treats more than 15,000 patients annually. Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Lawrenceburg, located on the campus of the University of the South, is a 41-bed facility offering 21 general acute care beds and 20 skilled nursing beds.
