Company Overview Del Toro Insurance is an insurance franchisor focused on developing and empowering entrepreneurs within the industry. With operations in Florida and Texas, we provide a strong support ecosystem—including training, onboarding, IT, HR, and accounting—to drive the success and growth of our employees and franchisees. Through strategic partnerships with leading insurance carriers, we offer a structured and scalable platform that fosters long-term professional development and a sustainable career path. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Development Specialist to join our Franchise Development team and help drive Commercial Insurance growth across our franchise network. This is not a traditional producer or sales position. The primary focus is to train, coach, develop, and guide franchise owners and their teams so they can successfully identify, develop, and close Commercial Insurance opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong, real-world Commercial Insurance sales experience and knows how to teach others how to sell, develop, and close Commercial business successfully. This is a hands-on role that includes direct interaction with franchisees, field visits throughout Florida, and out-of-state travel as needed. Key Responsibilities Train and coach franchise owners and their teams on the Commercial Insurance sales process. Guide franchisees through prospecting, opportunity development, quoting, presentation, follow-up, and closing. Help identify Commercial opportunities and appropriate carriers and markets. Coach teams on carrier appetite, underwriting considerations, and placement opportunities. Work alongside franchisees on real Commercial opportunities without taking over the sale. Identify training needs and develop practical tools and strategies to increase Commercial production. Provide ongoing coaching and follow-up to improve sales activity, closing skills, and results. Partner with Training and Development on Commercial Insurance growth initiatives. Conduct field visits throughout Florida and travel outside Florida as needed. Required Qualifications Active Florida 2-20 General Lines Insurance License – REQUIRED. Proven experience in Commercial Insurance sales, account development, and closing. Strong knowledge of Commercial Insurance carriers, markets, underwriting, and carrier appetite. Strong understanding of the complete Commercial Insurance sales process. Experience training, coaching, or developing insurance professionals, producers, or business owners. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively with franchise owners and sales teams. Willingness and ability to travel throughout Florida and out of state as needed. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a Commercial Insurance professional who is both an experienced practitioner and an effective coach. The ideal candidate knows how to sell Commercial Insurance—and, more importantly, knows how to teach others to sell it successfully. Success in this role will be measured by stronger franchisee capabilities, increased Commercial activity and production, improved closing skills, and sustainable new business growth across our franchise network. Florida 2-20 License is required for consideration.
