As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in one of our ICF homes, you’ll provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping each person live safely, build independence, participate in the community, and enjoy a meaningful quality of life. What You’ll DoAs a DSP in an ICF home, you will: Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, dressing, meals, and household routines. Help individuals develop life skills and greater independence based on their individual needs and goals. Support individuals with community outings, activities, appointments, and transportation. Follow individual support, behavioral, and care plans. Administer and document medications as required. Monitor health, safety, and changes in an individual’s condition or behavior. Complete required daily documentation, service records, medication records, and incident documentation accurately and on time. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioral or medical needs according to training and established procedures. Promote individual choice, dignity, privacy, rights, and meaningful participation in everyday life. Work as part of the residential team to provide consistent, dependable support across shifts. Preferred: Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Experience in a residential, ICF, healthcare, or human-services setting.
