Join us as we assist mining companies in getting mined materials to communities around the globe. Your Opportunity We are seeking an intern to reside in our Denver, CO office. As part of our Mining Site Assessment and Remediation Team, you will work alongside geologists, engineers, hydrogeologists, and environmental scientists on projects that support mine reclamation, mine closure, hydrogeologic investigations, and environmental remediation. You'll gain hands-on consulting experience through technical analyses, field investigations, data evaluation, and preparation of project deliverables while contributing to meaningful projects for mining clients across North America. Your Key Responsibilities Health and Safety: * Comply with company HSSE policies and project-specific safety plans. * Maintain situational awareness and contribute to a positive safety culture. * Demonstrate safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during office and field activities. * Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions. * Participate in daily safety moments, hazard analysis, and preparation of field health and safety planning documents. Roles and Tasks: * Work with a multi-disciplined geological, environmental, hydrogeological, and engineering team on a day-to-day basis. * Participate in team meetings and project meetings. * Actively engage with project team members such as project managers and project technical leads to complete tasks. * Assist project teams with data management, technical research, engineering calculations, environmental and geotechnical analyses, and preparation of technical reports, figures, and project documentation. * Support coordination with testing laboratories, develop proficiency in engineering software, and contribute to technical papers, training events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. * Potentially participate in field investigations and site visits, as opportunities arise and based on project needs, under the mentorship of experienced professionals to gain practical, hands-on experience supporting technical projects. QUALIFICATIONS Your Capabilities and Credentials We are looking for a motivated student who is eager to learn, enjoys solving technical problems, and can work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
