Supply Chain Specialist I
Position Summary
Location: Logan, UT
Wage: $15.75
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end execution of outbound and inbound logistics and technical inventory preparation, with a primary focus on Self-Service deployments. This position ensures that the right equipment is delivered to the right place, at the right time.
This role prepares and ships programmed, labeled, plug-and play equipment directly to our customer sites for self-installation, and serves as a point of contact for clients on Self-Service order status and shipment tracking. It also supports Utah technicians and, as needed, techicians nationwide with equipment and parts.
Core Responsibilities
1. Self-Service Preparation & Fulfillment
• Self-Service Kit Preparation: Build, program, label, and package plug-and-play equipment kits so
customers can install without a technician visit, following Self-Service deployment standards.
• Equipment Programming: Coordinate and execute internal programming requests, ensuring
digital configurations are correctly mapped to physical units prior to shipment.
• Direct-to-Customer Shipping: Fulfill Self-Service shipments directly to customer sites, taking
ownership of accurate contents, on-time arrival, and installation readiness.
• Quality Checks: Verify kit contents, configuration, and labeling before shipment to reduce failed
installs, shipping errors, and returns.
• Returns & Exceptions: Process returns, replacements, and RMAs for Self-Service equipment,
and coordinate with support and planning teams to resolve shipment or equipment issues.
2. Logistics, Technician Support & Client Communication
• Demand Execution: Generate and release Transfer Orders (TOs) for Utah technicians based on
confirmed site visit demand, ensuring inventory is available at least 24 hours before the
scheduled visit. Supply non-inventory parts to technicians across the country, and fulfill other
TOs as needed.
• Inbound Management: Physically receive inbound packages, verify contents against manifests,
and immediately process receipt transactions in NetSuite.
• Tracking & Transparency: Maintain 100% data integrity by accurately entering tracking data for
all outbound shipments into NetSuite, and communicate any delays to planning teams.
• Zendesk Client Support: Respond to client inquiries in Zendesk regarding Self-Service work,
including order status, shipment tracking numbers, delivery timing, and equipment questions.
Provide accurate, timely responses and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team.
3. Inventory & Technical Readiness
• Technical Readiness: Organize specialized inventory within programming stations and
document all internal movement through bin transfers in NetSuite.
• Cycle Counting: Perform physical cycle counts as directed by Inventory Control to support
auditing, reconciliation, and loss prevention.
• SOP Adherence: Execute all fulfillment, logistical, and technical configuration processes in strict
accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
4. Warehouse Standards & Facility Management
• Operational Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning, sweeping, and organizing tasks to maintain a
high-standard warehouse environment.
• Asset Organization: Take ownership of the organization and cleanliness of general storage areas
and specialized technical configuration zones.
• Cross-Functional Support: Contribute to inbound processing during high-volume periods and
assist with general fulfillment tasks to ensure total team coverage.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs and stay active to maintain an organized warehouse.
Technical Aptitude: Must be comfortable using computers and ready to learn NetSuite and Excel; you should feel confident following instructions to program or configure technical equipment.
Strong Communication: Ability to give clear updates to the team, report any issues quickly, and stay organized with digital tracking.
