The University Press of Colorado (UPC), a nonprofit scholarly book publisher, is looking for an intern to aid the Editorial, Design, and Production (EDP) staff of the press with the editorial tasks involved in producing new projects.
The intern will assist with tasks such as vetting artwork, tagging manuscripts, checking correction entry, filing for CIP data, registering DOIs, proofreading and copyediting of various materials, correspondence with authors and freelancers, and attending meetings both within the department and across the press. Interns will also learn about the university press publishing world and become familiar with the two Chicago citation styles.
