Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.   How you’ll contribute  A Recreational Therapist who excels in this role: Will perform structured evaluations and develop a treatment plan in conjunction with primary care counselors using therapeutic, recreational, and leisure activities   What You’ll Do * Conduct assessment and establish recreational therapy treatment goals and objectives to meet the individual needs of patients. * Pre-certify patient care. * Conduct ongoing reviews to authorize continued care. * Evaluate each patient’s progress and the effectiveness of recreational therapy interventions. * Formulate a goal-directed plan of care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary treatment team utilizing assessment date from the interdisciplinary assessment. * Update treatment plan weekly or more often as needed. * Coordinate therapeutic recreation activities for both large and small groups to observe patient response and encourage socialization. * Assist with development of discharge plan in timely and documented standards. * Provide patients and patients’ families with information regarding leisure lifestyles and creates an awareness of recreational resources in their community.   Why join us  We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
