Schedule: Ultrasound Nights - Shift = 3-12s, Th/F/Sat = 3:30pm - 4:00am. Provides afternoon and overnight coverage. We invite you to explore our community through these local sites.    Position Summary Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures. * Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable. * Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities. * Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. * Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area. * Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth. * Checks the physician's requisition for complete information on the procedure requested' refers any questions to the ultrasound physician before performing the procedure. * Assists the radiologist/referring physician in invasive procedures using sterile technique while maintaining infection control guidelines. * Recognizes the significance of all structures that are visualized on the monitor and be able to differentiate artifacts from anatomic/pathologic structures within equipment limitations.   What we're looking for * Education:  Associate’s degree Required; Graduate of approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent * Licenses: ARDMS Registered or if new graduate, must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (i.e. Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment.
