What you'll do

Work with faculty, students, and staff to promote engineering activities through digital media, supporting the college’s mission and strategic communications goals.

What you need

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:  <ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>General knowledge of web accessibility standards, SEO and web best practices, information architecture, and the principles of user-centered design.
Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe creative software.
Demonstrated knowledge of WordPress or other content management system.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to write short- and long-form content for a variety of digital platforms.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects on a rolling delivery schedule.
Demonstrated ability to manage professional social media accounts.
Ability to produce creative work within a system of established templates and content delivery systems.
Ability to work well independently and as a member of a collaborative team; act professionally; provide and be receptive to feedback and constructive criticism; be a self-motivated learner; and build and maintain good customer satisfaction for the Tickle College of Engineering Office of Communications.
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, web design, English, or related field
Experience: 4+ years of professional experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:  <ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Proficient knowledge of web coding and standards and the process of ground-up website development.
General knowledge of the principles of effective communication, marketing, and advertising (particularly in online media).
Strong interactive design and information architecture skills.
Ability to think conceptually and critically and make use of good political and negotiation skills.
Ability to edit video and use video editing software.
Advocates for best practices in electronic communications.
